What is a Certificate of Recycling?

A certificate of recycling is a document produced by iTech-Co that states the receipt of assets and confirms the proper handling and processing of e-waste. iTech-Co issues certificates of recycling as a proof and legal statement that guarantees the proper handling, processing, reuse, disposal, and recycling of e-waste. iTech-Co certificates of recycling include the address, client name, date of service, service provider’s name, signature of agent, company logo, and statement confirming the scope of work performed.

Is this a free service or do iTech-Co charge?

iTech-Co charges its clients a small, fixed base fee of £5 plus £1 per unit (up to a maximum of 40 units) per collection to go some way towards the cost of collection service. The cost is low because we can generate revenue to cover internal costs from the reuse or disposal of equipment. If the equipment you have for recycling will not cover our internal costs, then we do not charge any more for the booking.

Do you provide your service to households / individuals?

Yes, iTech-Co provides a specialist domestic service as well as a commercial / business service. We can process lesser amounts of equipment from households/individuals providing that the e-waste is within the list of acceptable e-waste units.

Do you buy equipment and how much do you pay?

No, unfortunately iTech-Co does not buy equipment that may or may not hold value.

What happens to my equipment?

Devices, which have successfully been data sanitised that can be repaired are factory reset and re-sold for reuse. Devices that are faulty or obsolete are physically destroyed by breaking the equipment down for zero waste to landfill materials recycling.

What equipment do you recycle?

We collect and recycle most types of equipment related to IT in any condition. Please see iTech-Co’s list of acceptable e-waste.

How quickly can you collect?

iTech-Co offers a regional 5 days a week collection service within the South Wales area, and we can normally collect as quickly as you require us to (starting with just one day’s notice). Just book a collection on our website.

Can I drop my equipment off?

Yes, equipment can be dropped off at our processing facility but drop offs must be booked in prior (just give us call or drop an email).

Will all my confidential data be securely destroyed?

For each unit iTech-Co collects, we guarantee the destruction of all forms of data including the removal of labels, references, configurations, and traces of previous ownership. We have various data destruction methods available to suit your individual requirements.
